Welcome, I’m Michelle. I’m a Psychotherapist and Counsellor based in Ballincollig and Online across Ireland.

I’m really glad you found your way here.

Sometimes life can look fine from the outside, yet inside it can feel heavier, more confusing, or more difficult than we want it to be.

You may have been holding everything together for a long time - quietly coping, adapting, and pushing through while a part of you wonders if life could feel different.

I believe every person has a story, and that how we experience the world, relate to others, and understand ourselves is shaped by our relationships, our experiences, and the ways we have learned to cope along the way.

You might notice:

  • I feel anxious all the time and don’t know how to switch off.

  • I understand things in my head, but I can’t seem to change how I feel.

  • I’m exhausted from trying to keep everything together.

  • Something has changed in my relationship and I don’t know how to make sense of it.

  • I keep putting everyone else’s needs before my own.

  • I’ve experienced a loss or difficult event and I’m struggling to move forward.

  • I feel disconnected from myself and I’m not sure when that happened.

  • I’m feeling more irritable or exhausted than I used to be.

  • Small tasks feel overwhelming, even things like replying to messages.

  • My old coping strategies no longer help in the same way.

  • I care deeply about my family or career, yet feel absent from myself.

  • I’ve lost sight of who I am after years of adapting to others’ needs and expectations.

  • I’ve spent years pleasing others, and I’m beginning to wonder what I actually want.

These are not signs of failure, they may be the ways you have learnt to manage life that no longer serve you the same way.

Therapy can support you in:

Understanding your emotional patterns

Reconnecting with yourself

Recognising your needs and creating healthier boundaries

Building healthier relationships

Finding more freedom in how you respond to life

Reaching out can feel like a big step. If you would like, you can book a free 20-minute call to have a chat and see if working together feels right for you.

My Approach

My approach is relational, integrative, and trauma-informed. I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including neuro-affirming practice and somatic approaches, to support your individual needs.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I offer a steady, respectful space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted as you are. Together, we can explore what has shaped your experiences, make sense of recurring patterns, and create space for meaningful change. You set the pace.
